THE GRANDSON is the big strong 4yo son of NZ Leading Sire SAVABEEL from the PINS mare MILLILILLI a half to Singapore Champion ONCEUPONATIME.

He showed his quality as a 3yo defeating Sydney Metro winners SISKEN and ELOUERA over 1400m at Kembla Grange in a very strong win.

After returning from a spell he won first up over 1300m at Goulburn making a long sustained run before contesting the Group 3 Spring Stakes 2nd up over 1600m.

The Grandson was recently Gelded after some sub standard performances and has clearly improved in his last two starts.

In his second last start at Goulbourn over 1600m he made a powerful run from the 600m looming on the turn and looking a huge threat to the talented KURNEL JAXSON with his run ending at the 150 meter mark.

The Grandson was ridden cold in his last start over 1800m at Hawkesbury with the jockey suggesting he be kept to distances under a mile.

With a drop back in distance and a drop in grade this 4yo looks destined to return to the winners stall quickly.
