His 2nd Dam LOVE DANCE was a multiple Group One winner over 2040m and 2200m with his 1st Dam performing best over 1200m & 1400m.

He is by the son of DANEHILL, STRADA who’s best progeny, like the talented SA Galloper HIOCTDANE, are middle distance performers.

Purple Emperor has done much of his racing on or towards the speed as was the case for his HAWKESBURY WIN over 2060m.

In his 1st up start this prep over 1200m at NEWCASTLE he showed early speed and sat outside the leader though out. He knocked up in the straight due to fitness yet gave the impression he could sprint if required.

This boy does have another string to his bow and that is a strong finish. Although he has only been ridden cold a couple of times, he has shown with clear running he’ll give 100%.

Purple Emperor is a Versatile galloper who can race from sprints to staying distances and can sit forward or back depending on strategy or speed.

His last 3 starts he looks like he hasn’t settled in as yet from his trip to QLD from SYDNEY and would benefit from a LET UP or SPELL.
