OUTPUT is the 5yo son of EXCEED AND EXCEL from the Darley mare UPROOT by LONHRO.

He won his maiden over 1000m as a 3yo with team Snowden, defeating the subsequent multiple Sydney Metro winner VIADUCTRESS. In that win he led running a time of 0:57.75 and clocked a quick 33.31 last 600.

He was impressive in his next 2 starts leading on both occasions. At Kembla Grange he set a very solid tempo over 1000m and fought hard to the line, beaten only 0.6 of a Length. He won his next start over 1257m with a good even tempo and was again strong late and proved too strong.

Although OUTPUT’S recent runs have been sub standard he has shown glimpses of past quality in several of his races like his close 2nd at Donald in March.

After watching his runs the key to him looks to be clear running. When he is behind runners and under pressure he doesn’t put in the effort, but when setting the tempo he likes to stay in front and fights hard to the line.
