The pedigree of Mena’s Choice is already proven through her 3/4 brother FRIDAY CREEK, a talented galloper who won at Metro Level as a 3yo and became a Group Winner at 4. He had a long fruitful career again winning at Group Level as a 7yo.
Like Friday Creek, Mena’s Choice should be an improving type. She has had the one prep as an early 2yo and was given an easy trial running 3rd working home well at Randwick on a Heavy 8. She has since been in the paddock and has been given the time to mature with now being the perfect time to buy.
Her spelling & training fees to date would equate to more than 25K. Add the Sire Fee, plus the value of her quality Dam Line and you’re talking big dollars. Regardless, SHE IS PRICED TO SELL!
Mena’s Choice is by the late, great COMMANDS, a nine time Group One producer including multiple Group One winners Appearance, Epaulette, Purple and Undue. These progeny were all best as 3yo’s and older as is the case with the majority of his offspring. COMMANDS 2012 Service Fee was $55,000 and to date he has sired 68 Stakes Winners.
Her unraced dam Invincible Girl is by the Champion LONHRO winner of an incredible 11 Group Ones (1 x G1 as a 3yo, 5 x G1 as a 4yo, 5 x G1 as a 5yo), who has produced 58 Stakes winners, 7 at Group One level.
To add even more quality to this pedigree, Mena’s Choice is inbred to Australasian Blue-hen EIGHT CARAT who produced 5 individual Group One Winners. Group Two winners RAIN AFFAIR, ALTAR, and OBSEQUIOUS are all from the COMMANDS/OCTAGONAL cross.
With Commands averaging 140K at the major sales in Australia and New Zealand this year, this girl represents real value with so much of the hard work already done.
***TRAINER SAY’S***
“Being by Commands this filly will only get better as a 3yo. With that in mind she was given one trial at Randwick in November where she finished 3rd and has been given plenty of time to mature with a good decent spell. She proved a sound and clean-winded filly whilst in our care with the owner not prepared to wait as he has too many horses on his books.”
