NORTHERN METEOR served only 4 seasons before he was prematurely taken due to colic. In the short career has produced 19 INDIVIDUAL STAKE WINNERS with 6 at GROUP ONE LEVEL!

He Sired 5 STALLIONS which include full brothers SHOOTING TO WIN & DEEP FIELD, along with ZOUSTAR, EUROZONE and FIGHTING SUN.

What made him so good both on the track and as a top line Sire? His third Dam MOCCASIN was a CHAMPION RACE MARE who WON at GROUP LEVEL 7 TIMES and at G1 as a 2yo and 3yo. She also foaled 7 SW’s including G1 2yo and Sire APALACHEE. MOCCASIN is also the full sister to THONG, 3rd Dam of FAIRY KING. Both MOCCASIN and THONG were served by FORLI giving birth to 3/4 sisters SCUFF and SPECIAL. SPECIAL is the Dam of the great NUREYEV and Matriarch FAIRY BRIDGE who’s progeny includes Sire of Sires SADLERS WELLS, producer of over 300 SW’s.

There is no doubt these two Dam lines played a huge part in NORTHERN METEOR’S racing ability and genetic potency.

GREEN AND WHITE is closely inbred to FAIRY KING 3×2 yet she definitely resembles his Dam FAIRY BRIDGE (which stands to reason as stated above). Fairy Bridge only raced twice for 2 wins as a 2yo and was sent to stud in her prime. Her first foal was the great SADLERS WELLS followed by talented Sires FAIRY KING and TATE GALLERY as her second and third, all full brothers by NORTHERN DANCER. FAIRY BRIDGE produced 9 named foals with he last being PERUGINO, Sire of TESTA ROSSA.
