FRANKLIN LANE is the 3yo gelded son of SHOCKING out of the FLYING SPUR mare PRINCESS LATIFAH from the family of the great GIANTS CAUSEWAY.

He was a winner over 2050m at Mornington last preparation in style on a soft 5 and was equally as impressive in his start prior over 2000m after sitting 3 wide with cover towards the rear of the field off a tempo that clearly favoured front runners to run an exciting 3rd only beaten 0.3 Lengths after a huge wide run.

He again looked back to his best 2nd up in his current prep over 1500m coming from last and making good ground before his run ended.

Franklin Lane’s full brother KILOWATT has won 3 times from 1400m to 1600m with multiple placings around 2000m, suggesting that Franklin Lane could also be more than competitive if dropped back in distance.

He was put out for a break after his last 2 starts where he had excuses after pulling up with mucus on both occasions which according to the stable has now cleared up.
