DREADLOCK is the cracking 4yo son of REDOUTE’S CHOICE out of the ZABEEL mare Melbourne Rose, sister to Group 1 Performer BERLIOZ. The Redoute’s Zabeel cross has produced numerous Group and Listed Winners including SAMANTHA MISS who won at Group One Level from 1600m to 2500m

His last start at Morphettville on Saturday the 15th Oct over 1800m shows his true quality and promise where he was narrowly beaten by METRO COWBOY who ran a close 2nd to Group 1 Winner HOWARD BE THY NAME.

After being caught extremely wide in the early stages DREADLOCK was revved up driven to the lead rounding the turn at the 1300 metre mark where he kicked into the home straight and fought right to the line in a gutsy performance.

He currently has 8 Starts for 1 win and 5 placings with earnings of $37,565 with plenty more to come!!

His breeding suggests he is best over the middle distances which is backed up by his form, and using his 1800m run as a gauge, he should get further.

In 2014 as a yearling, he had a successful throat operation.
