My Girl Steph’s dam Belle Salieri was a Multiple Metro Winner who won 6 races from 16 starts from 1000m to 1300m and although she was a quality race mare she has proven to be ever better as a broodmare. Belle Salieri produced 7 winners from 9 named foals and TWO STAKES WINNERS with Group Winner Belltone winning from 1000m to 1400m and Roman Squire from 1200m to 1600m.

Her Weanling Colt is by Group One Sprinter Equiano who won the King Stand Stakes twice beating Takeover Target in 2008. The 2yo Triple Crown has only been won 6 times in history so it is obviously no fluke that Valour is also the Grand Dam of Victory Prince, sire of the previous Triple Crown Winner in TIERCE who appears in this Dam Line.

FILLY OF CHOICE is the Dam of 5 named foals, four to race who are all winners. Her ARTIE SCHILLER Foal at Foot should be an early type based on pedigree. Artie Schiller was the winner of the Group One BREEDERS CUP MILE and is a MULTIPLE GROUP ONE PRODUCER. He was a winner as a 2yo, with the majority of his black type runners being 2yo winners themselves. This filly is an early September foal and her Dam Line is saturated with 2yo Group One runners and producers. The pedigree match over 6 generations is extremely well balanced and looks exciting and pure quality on paper. If she has inherited Burst Away’s natural speed she will set records over 200m as an early 2yo and should mature as a smart and versatile sprinter miler.

Filly Of Choice is in Foal to PUISSANCE DE LUNE who is a multiple Group Two Winner who was twice 2nd and twice 3rd at Group One level. His 8 length victory in the Bendigo Cup over 2400m in track record time showed his true ability. Unfortunately his niggling fetlock injury never let him realise his true potential. This potential will no doubt be expressed in his progeny and if he can emulate his Sire his Service Fee will skyrocket. Puissance de Lune’s pedigree meshes well with Filly Of Choice and again should produce quality. Whether the foal will be an early type is yet to be seen, however his Sire Shamardal was a Group One Winner as a 2yo.

Her Dam Confessing is by Golden Slipper Winner and Multiple Group 1 Winner Flying Spur a 13 time Group One Producer and Broodmare Sire of Golden Slipper Winner in Sebring.

Her second dam Sworn Secret was Half Sister to Golden Slipper and Blue Diamond Prelude Winner DANZERO.

Nuns On The Run won her only trial as a 2yo in Open Class over 900m easily and had her first race start at Metro level where she clearly was not right. She had sustained a fetlock injury at some point that hindered her career and was the reason she didn’t respond to a quick backup. She raced far better fresh with space in her runs and always trialed well and showed her quality when she put pay to the Country Championship Qualifier REDWOLF, easily beating him by 3.5L in a 1000m trial.

Below are links showing her first two wins at Takeover Target’s home track, Queanbeyan. Both these runs are from her second prep and show her true natural speed and stamina. The first win was over 900m was run on a soft7 in 52.08 (600m 34.59) and the second over 1100m 1:02.75 (600m 34.33) on a good3.

This girl definitely has the pedigree to produce quality 2yo speed. Her duplication of Danzig and Mr Prospector matches well with the 2yo Sires All American, Artie Schiller, Canford Cliffs, Charge Forward, Congrats, Denman, Domesday, Duporth, Statue Of Liberty and Street Boss to name a few.

Nuns On The Run would have won many more races without her injury which was testament to her mental toughness. Even with her handicap she had superior speed to all her siblings, including Secrets who has won 22 races from 103 starts.

She will no doubt have a long fruitful and rewarding career as a broodmare.
