TAKE THE HINT is the Son of Blue Diamond Stakes (Gr1) runner-up PARIAH, who WON two Group races at Rosehill as a juvenile.

The dam of Take The Hint, INSINUATING is a daughter of USA Horse of the Year TIZNOW and sold at magic Millions Broodmare Sale in 2016 for $250k. Her dam is the multiple Group Winner Porte Bonheur who sold at the Keeneland Sales as a Broodmare for US$1.6 million dollars.

Take The Hint is a three-quarter blood-brother to the winners BOJACK (former $400k Sydney easter purchase) and INDICATIVE.

This is the hig class international family that has also produced Champion mare Alverta and 3-time Gr1 winner Storming Home.

TAKE THE HINT has only had the 6 starts to date, racing in NSW’s southern region where he hasn’t been that far off them.

He is a well conformed individual, who is IN FULL WORK. You could keep racing him or tip him out, he will take great benefit from having a spell.

Height 16.1 hh approx.

She WON impressively at QUEANBEYAN over 1460ms showing her toughness to make good ground to come over the top of the leader. Please see video replay attached.

Last start she ran 3rd at PORT MACQUARIE 01/01 over 1512ms, just getting beaten by 5 x Winner and $300k plus earner THE ENZO and class 3 Galloper DUNOON who has winnings in excess of 80k.

She has been in full work up to 05/01 and has just been sent to the paddock.

Watermelon Sugar is by HEROIC VALOUR (by FASTNET ROCK) out of the well related Mare LADY EMILY (by LONHRO).

 

She hails from a strong black type winning family which includes Sires CATBIRD and DANBIRD.

 

She had her 1st trial 09/01 where she was completely underdone and extremely green.  She missed the kick and was never given a chance but she already showed huge improvement in her 2nd trial at Orange 15/1.  Please watch the replay attached.

 

She has only had the 1 race start at Bathurst over 1100ms where her Trainer thought she would run a competitive race but was unfortunately disappointing.  Her Trainer wants to continue on with her but her Owner has decided to move her on.

 

She is still very immature and doesn’t know what she is doing, but when the penny drops she should make a very nice galloper! She just needs that extra time to mature.

Queen Of Fire is the well-bred daughter of Group 1 Golden Rose winner EXOSPHERE, from Aspen Princess, a half-sister to Group 1 runner up MY LADY’S CHAMBER, hailing from the family of G1 Coolmore Stakes winner REGAL CHEER, a daughter of the Golden Slipper performer REGAL CHAMBER.

She was a talented filly on the track that showed great potential as a racehorse; in her 6 starts, she placed twice at Pakenham, with a 4th at Pakenham and a 5th at Geelong.

She looks to have been kicked in her knee and has a hematoma inside, swelling, some changes and soreness. The vets recommended she be retired. She can be assessed by a vet prior to the auction ending at Clarendon. X-rays are available on request.

 

Queen Of Fire looks well suited to a career as a quality broodmare. She is bred on a SIR TRISTRAM, BISCAY cross and definitely has the capacity to produce a precocious type; as the immediate family has shown!

She stands at 16.1hh and approx. 470kgs. All vet checks and inspections are welcome.
