Standover Man has had 2 x 4ths in his limited starts at Newcastle and Goulburn whilst racing under the care of Sydney Metropolitan Trainer Joseph Pride. The stable said he is still maturing.

He has had three starts with his new trainer. In his first run with the stable he raced very wide and pushed forward early, he showed a good turn of foot in running and his run is better than what it appears on paper.

In his 2nd last start at Gosford and his last start he raced extremely wide from the onset.

Standover Man would definitely benefit from a spell as he is having his first racing preparation and he would benefit from a drop in grade at this stage and is not living up to his owner’s expectations with racing in the always competitive Sydney Provincial / Hunter region.

This good looking VIC/NSW Consistent 5yo Gelding is rarely far off them!

He is well related being half to Champion Hong Kong Galloper ENTRAPMENT who, until recently, held the longest winning streak in Hong Kong with 8 straight wins including Running 2nd in the hotly contested GROUP 1 HONG KONG SPRINT and has defeated the likes of Sacred Kingdom.

He has run 4th at SANDOWN over 1300ms to consistent Gallopers ELLIS PARK and HOLSTER.

He won his Maiden at SWAN HILL over 975ms, and has placed 5 times in his 27 starts up to 1300ms with 12 Top 5 finishes against some talented opposition.

War Games is a versatile Galloper and can handle any racing Conditions racing well from Good to Heavy.

He is good to do anything with and a pleasure to have around the stable.
