LORD MAL is the 4yo son of the undefeated HARBOUR WATCH from the CANNY LAD mare PATISSERIE a half to Bocuse and Roubechon from the family of Group 1 sprinter REACTIVE.

He showed his quality first up this prep over 805m running good time after being caught five and six wide for the journey, yet still unleashed an explosive finish, proving too good for his rivals.

In his next two starts he was only beaten just over a length at 1000m against quality opposition including HAPPY MO, YEOMAN, and PORT GOLD who have all since won at Sydney Provincial level.

Although his last 2 starts have been below his best he did have clear excuses at Grafton after being caught 4 wide on the speed.

Lord Mal has shown he possess good ability and has great upside over the shorter sprint distances.
