Auction Catalogue – Form and Pedigree Analysis: There are ample opportunities to pick up elite quality without the price tag and Royal Bloodstock can help you experience them. We have an in-depth understanding of pedigrees and can identify the Lots that are most likely to produce quality on the racetrack, often without the high price tag.
Buyers Agent for Racehorses: A Buyers Agent must be able to identify genuine quality. Often big money is spent on horses due to past performances that are appealing to the eye but in reality lack depth. A good horse can run time and generally possess speed or quick closing sectionals or both. Royal Bloodstock investigates all runs of a thoroughbred prospect and breaks them down to identify its early speed, stamina and last 600 sectionals. Sellers Agent: Royal Bloodstock has a large client base that is always looking for sound horses not up to grade in their current region yet with good upside in weaker regions. These horses as a general rule will fetch a much better price selling through Royal Bloodstock rather than at auction due to the fact buyers can have them vetted. That confidence is reflected in the sales prices we achieve.
Stallion Matching: This is the key reason some breeders have far more success than others. Rather than leaving it all to chance, Stallion Matching is pointing nature in the direction to best produce quality. Every Thoroughbred has their own unique DNA sequence that has evolved through genetic heritage. This DNA is basically a set of instructions that makes each and every thoroughbred what it is. The aim is to target key strengths within a Sires and Dams DNA to increase the chance of those strengths being replicated when the new genetic code is created. Being too aggressive is often detrimental, as is being too subtle.
A good example is the creation of the mighty mare Winx. Her dam Vegas Showgirl hailed from a female family on the up and she was clearly the best of her immediate line. Her ability was inherited from a cross that reinforced Northern Dancer. Winx’s sire Street Cry was both an elite racehorse and sire, who was himself Northern Dancer free, although at the same time very closely aligned though his Dam Natalma, his Dam’s half sister Cosmah and his half sister Raise The Standard who all appeared in Street Cry’s pedigree. This connection played a major role in Winx’s code as did the reinforcing that took place in the 6th and 7th generations and beyond.
